Princess Wijdan Al-Hashemi patronizes the opening of the photography exhibition "Antarctica.. Continent of Peace"

Her Highness Princess Wijdan Al-Hashemi, President of the Royal Society of Fine Arts, patronized this Monday evening, at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman, the opening ceremony of the photography exhibition "Antarctica.. Continent of Peace," which is organized by the museum and the Embassy of the Republic of Chile in Jordan.

At the opening ceremony, which was attended by a number of South American ambassadors, the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, Rodrigo Hume Figueroa, said in his speech that this exhibition, which includes 39 photographs, represents more than just a display of the extraordinary natural beauty of a point located in the far south of our planet.

He emphasized that the aesthetics of environmental preservation, wildlife, and the role of scientists in this continent represent a powerful message of peace.

Her Highness and the Ambassador toured the photography panels, with the Princess listening to a brief explanation of the photos.

The exhibition, which will continue for 21 days, highlights the Chilean region of Antarctica to explore one of the most extraordinary places on Earth, where temperatures in winter can drop to below 60 degrees Celsius below zero.

The exhibition serves as a window into the daily life of these creatures, providing an important visual testimony to biodiversity, extraordinary adaptability, and resilience in the ends of the Earth.
