((The Jordanian Family Library)) continues its tour in the governorates

The activities of the twentieth edition of the "Jordanian Family Library – Reading for All Festival" project continue in a number of the Kingdom's governorates through holding book fairs in universities, youth centers, and cultural institutions, as part of the Ministry of Culture’s efforts aimed at expanding access to knowledge and establishing a culture of reading among various segments of society, especially children, youth, university students, and schoolchildren.

In Balqa Governorate, the Directorate of Culture, in cooperation with the Deir Alla Youth Center, held the Jordanian Family Library exhibition at the center's headquarters, under the patronage of the Director of Youth for Balqa Governorate, Mr. Ahmed Al-Hadidi, and in the presence of a number of local community members, center members, intellectuals, and those interested in cultural affairs.

The exhibition, which continues until November 5th, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offers a diverse collection of Jordanian Family Library publications, including cultural, literary, and cognitive works, and children's stories, to meet the interests of various age groups and encourage reading and book acquisition.

The exhibition witnessed interaction from visitors who explored the various titles and publications in an atmosphere that reflects the importance of the book in building awareness, developing intellect, and establishing the habit of reading.

In Ajloun Governorate, the Director of Culture, Samer Freihat, opened the Jordanian Family Library exhibition at Ajloun National University, as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and the Directorate of Culture to promote cultural movement, make books available to students and citizens at affordable prices, and encourage them to read, thereby enhancing the status of the book as a fundamental pillar in building awareness and knowledge.

In Jerash Governorate, the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Al-Khalayleh, patronized the opening of the twentieth edition of the Reading for All Festival through the Jordanian Family Library project exhibition held at the university library building, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Jerash Governorate Directorate of Culture.

The exhibition included diverse publications in the fields of literature, history, science, arts, and self-development, in addition to books for children and youth, and heritage stories, at nominal and encouraging prices that allow students and local community members to acquire books and benefit from them.

The opening was attended by the university's vice presidents, deans, academic and administrative staff members, and a crowd of students, within the framework of the cultural and community partnership aimed at spreading knowledge and enhancing cultural movement within academic institutions.

In Irbid Governorate, Yarmouk University witnessed the opening of the 2026 Reading for All Festival, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Malik Al-Sharairi, as part of the academic institutions' participation in the national project aimed at promoting a culture of reading and making books accessible to students and the local community.

These activities reflect the expansion of the Jordanian Family Library project, and the keenness of the Ministry of Culture and the governorate directorates of culture to strengthen partnerships with universities, youth centers, and local bodies, contributing to reaching wider segments of society and providing an environment that stimulates reading and learning.

The project has continued its journey since its launch in 2007 under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, as part of the national cultural initiatives aimed at making the book accessible to the Jordanian family and emphasizing its role in building awareness, preserving national identity, and developing intellectual and creative capabilities.
