Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture, Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ahmad, sponsored the launch ceremony of the sixth station of the national training project for photography enthusiasts on Saturday at the Royal Cultural Center, which arrived in the capital, Amman, under the title "Our Jordan in Our Eyes.. From Hobby to Professionalism."
Al-Ahmad emphasized that the Ministry's continued sponsorship of this project stems from its belief in the pivotal role played by youth and their lenses in conveying the bright image of Jordan and highlighting its cultural and historical heritage for future generations, stressing the project's continuity in its journey across various regions to reach all governorates of the Kingdom. He added that the Ministry continues to provide support to outstanding youth energies as part of its ongoing efforts to support creators and preserve the national memory, noting that the project sheds light on the aesthetics of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its unique details through the eyes and lenses of its people.
For his part, the Director of the Royal Cultural Center welcomed the trainees and participants in a speech during the ceremony, affirming the Center's commitment to providing all resources and a suitable training environment to support youth talents and develop their creative skills.
This sixth station in the capital, Amman, witnessed a large and unprecedented public turnout, with 670 young men and women applying, 165 of whom were accepted. Given this strong demand and the desire to provide the highest levels of benefit, it was decided to divide the accepted participants into two separate training courses, ensuring that every trainee can absorb the content and refine their skills by receiving sufficient information and direct practical application.
For his part, the trainer and project supervisor, photographer Sami Al-Zoubi, explained that the project aims to document the tourism, heritage, and natural assets that distinguish the various governorates of the Kingdom through emerging and promising eyes, and to rediscover the bright face of Jordan in a modern, creative artistic style.
Al-Zoubi stressed that the launch of the sixth station reflects great confidence in youth energies and their ability to express themselves through impactful visuals, pointing out that the photos and visual stories produced by the participants form a living archive that supports efforts to promote domestic and international tourism and reflects the pulse of the Jordanian street and the aesthetics of its environment.
In his concluding remarks, Al-Zoubi extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Culture for its continuous support and ongoing sponsorship of Jordanian youth and creative initiatives. He also praised the pioneering role of all media partners and various media outlets for their distinguished coverage and constant news updates on the project, affirming that this media and institutional integration is the primary partner in conveying the message of "Our Jordan in Our Eyes" and highlighting the youth outputs efficiently and capably.
The launch ceremony included a documentary video screening that showcased the achievements and artistic outputs realized during the previous five stations.
This station comes as a continuation of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to refine the talents of photography enthusiasts and elevate their tools toward professionalism, and to document the cultural, archaeological, and natural aesthetics in various regions of the Kingdom through creative young eyes.
