Moroccan international Ismael Saibari, the Bayern Munich forward, underwent right ankle surgery after sustaining an injury during his team's 2-2 draw against visiting Borussia Dortmund on Saturday in the German Football League.
Bayern Munich announced on Sunday that medical examinations revealed Saibari suffered a tear in the anterior tibiofibular ligament of his right ankle, noting that the surgery he underwent was successful.
The club added that player Serge Gnabry also suffered a muscle injury in his left hamstring, without specifying the duration of their absence from the pitch.
The club's statement did not include any mention of Michael Olise's condition, who left the pitch limping in the final minutes of the Dortmund match.
The new injuries come as Bayern suffers from physical absences affecting a number of its players, including Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala, and Luis Diaz, which increases pressure on the team's squad.
Gnabry, 31, had recently returned to fitness after missing out on participating with the German national team in the World Cup due to an adductor muscle injury.
Bayern was forced to deploy three players who occupy the left-back position during the second half of the Dortmund match, in light of the shortage the team is suffering from.
Bayern, which had previously confirmed it has no interest in making signings during the winter transfer window next January, is preparing to face Atletico Madrid away from home on Tuesday in the Champions League.
