The Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, held a seminar on Monday, during which two strategic reports on the Jordanian-Chinese relationship and the Arab-Chinese relationship were launched.

The Chinese Ambassador to Amman, Guo Wei, confirmed that the launch of the reports came after a visit by 4 researchers to China, documenting what they saw through a research narrative, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of Arab-China diplomatic relations and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the establishment of Jordanian-Chinese relations, pointing out that Arabs and China share common values and mutual benefit, which contributed to the advancement of trade between Arab countries and China.

He emphasized the importance of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein's recent visit to China, describing it as a significant event and an important milestone in the course of the development of relations between the two countries, indicating his country's continued desire to strengthen relations with Jordan.

For his part, former Prime Minister Dr. Adnan Badran emphasized the importance of holding continuous meetings to follow up on the outcomes of His Majesty's recent visit to China, calling for cooperation with China in the fields of renewable energy and modern agriculture.

For his part, the Chairman of the Media and National Orientation Committee in the Senate, Muhammad Daoudiyeh, said that the King's recent visit to China represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen relations between the two countries, pointing out that Chinese delegations will visit Jordan in the coming days, which will contribute to deepening communication between the two countries.

He pointed out that there is complete agreement between Amman and Beijing regarding support for the Palestinian cause and dealing with many issues.

For his part, the Director of the Center, Dr. Hassan Al-Momani, said that the preparation of the two reports took 10 months to build a scientific research reference system on these relations, indicating that this research effort comes to build on the royal visit, which represents a pivotal link in Jordanian-Chinese relations and Arab-Chinese relations, due to the stature of His Majesty in the world.

He pointed out that there are common areas between Jordan and China, and agreement on multiple political issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.

The full-time researcher at the Center, Dr. Tamara Al-Zraiqat, presented the contents of the report on the “Jordanian-Chinese Relationship,” which included political and economic aspects.
