Mubadara Party: The Speech from the Throne defines the priorities of the phase and places everyone before their national responsibilities

The Mubadara Party affirmed that the Speech from the Throne delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, on Monday, at the opening of the third ordinary session of the 20th Parliament, carried clear national, political, and economic messages, defined the priorities of the next phase, and placed various state institutions before their responsibilities in protecting the nation, strengthening its stability, and continuing the comprehensive modernization process.

The party stated that His Majesty the King's affirmation that Jordan will remain resilient against terrorism and aggression, and his recollection of the sacrifices of the Karak crime martyrs, represents a clear message that Jordan's security, stability, and sovereignty are constants that are not open to compromise, and that the unity of Jordanians, the cohesion of their internal front, and their national awareness constitute the first line of defense in facing challenges. The party also affirmed its pride in the sacrifices of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, and the security services, and their role in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its achievements.

On regional matters, the party stressed that His Majesty the King's renewal of the firm Jordanian position toward the Palestinian cause, and the rejection of the continuation of the Israeli aggression and violations in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, reflects an unchanging historical commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to establish their independent state on their national soil, emphasizing that achieving security and stability in the region begins with ending the occupation and meeting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Regarding political modernization, the party highlighted His Majesty the King's affirmation that the Parliament is a fundamental pillar of political life and that the nation is the source of powers, noting that these messages place parties and parliamentary blocs before a real responsibility in developing political life, enhancing parliamentary work, and entrenching a culture of dialogue and responsible disagreement, so that the national interest and serving citizens are the compass that governs performance and positions.

The party affirmed that the role required of the Parliament is not limited to approving legislation, but extends to effective oversight of government performance, defending the public interest, and exercising constitutional responsibility in a way that enhances citizens' confidence in institutions and makes partisan and parliamentary work a productive political practice that reflects on the lives of Jordanians.

On the economic and development side, the party affirmed that what His Majesty the King proposed regarding the necessity for development to reflect on citizens' livelihoods, job opportunities, education, and health represents the true standard for the success of government plans, stressing the importance of accelerating the implementation of major national projects and transforming plans and strategies into tangible achievements that the citizen can feel.

The party also stressed the importance of the water security file as a national and strategic priority that cannot be delayed, and the necessity of proceeding with the implementation of major water projects, enhancing the efficiency of water resource management, and ensuring their sustainability, alongside consolidating the principles of integrity, accountability, and the rule of law, and emphasizing that public office is a responsibility and a service to citizens, and that the law applies to everyone without exception or regard for position or influence.

The Mubadara Party concluded by affirming that the Speech from the Throne does not merely represent a presentation of national priorities, but rather places everyone before the requirement of work and achievement, which requires a real partnership between the authorities, state institutions, and political parties, and translating Royal directives into practical programs and measurable outcomes, in a way that enhances the path of political, economic, and administrative modernization, preserves Jordan's security and stability, and achieves the aspirations of its people.
