MPs Al-Khasawneh and Al-Ananbeh meet with the Minister of Youth and review updates on the rehabilitation works of Al-Hassan Stadium

MPs Abdul Nasser Al-Khasawneh and Abdul Halim Al-Ananbeh met today, Wednesday, with the Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, at the Ministry of Youth, in the presence of the Ministry's Secretary-General, Mazen Abu Baqr, to review the progress of work and technical procedures taken to rehabilitate the pitch of Al-Hassan Youth City Stadium in Irbid Governorate.
During the meeting, Al-Adwan emphasized that the Ministry is proceeding with the implementation of works in accordance with approved technical foundations and specifications, ensuring sustainability and preserving the stadium as a national sports facility that serves the youth and sports movement, supports clubs in the northern governorates, and avoids resorting to temporary solutions that would require future re-treatment.
MPs Al-Khasawneh and Al-Ananbeh stressed the importance of viewing the stadium pitch rehabilitation works from a technical and strategic perspective that considers the sustainability and long-term readiness of the sports facility, rather than settling for temporary treatments that may not achieve the desired results. They emphasized that while such works may require time and specialized technical procedures, the priority must be to achieve sustainable results that ensure the quality and operational efficiency of the pitch.
They called on the sports community and northern clubs to support the efforts being made and to approach the technical procedures with a sense of concern for the public interest, confirming that the goal is not to complete quick or temporary works, but to reach a stadium pitch qualified according to correct technical foundations, thereby preserving public funds and limiting the need for repeated maintenance and treatment in the future.
This visit comes within the framework of the "MPs in the Field" initiative, which is carried out by members of parliament to address priority issues with various official and national entities.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the Youth Directorates Department, Anas Al-Qudah, the Director of Youth Guidance and Empowerment, Jihad Al-Masa'deh, and the Director of Al-Hassan Youth City, Abdullah Bani Yassin.
