MP Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Khasawneh expressed his deep pride and high appreciation for the Jordanian security services, led by the Public Security Directorate and the General Intelligence Directorate, praising the vigilance, high professional competence, courage, and exceptional discipline they demonstrated in tracking down the perpetrators of the heinous terrorist crime that targeted the nation's sons at Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate, and arresting them at dawn today in a qualitative security operation that embodied the state institutions' ability to protect their citizens and enforce the rule of law.

Khasawneh emphasized that His Majesty King Abdullah II had stressed and directed from the first day that these criminals who committed this cowardly act would be pursued, arrested, and held accountable without leniency. He valued the firm directives of His Majesty the Supreme Commander and his direct follow-up on the incident's developments, confirming that the security and safety of Jordanians is a red line, and that there is absolutely no tolerance for terrorism or those who justify it or promote its ideas.

MP Khasawneh pointed out that the success of the security services in tracking down the criminals and arresting them without any injuries among the security force embodies the competence of the Jordanian security institution, its high readiness, and its ability to deal firmly and responsibly with any threat, sending a clear message that the hand of justice will reach everyone who dares to violate Jordanian blood or tamper with the security and unity of society.

Khasawneh stressed that Jordan's security is a shared national responsibility between the security services and the citizens, and that safeguarding our national unity and rejecting incitement, hatred, and sedition, in all their forms, constitute the first line of societal defense in the face of terrorism and extremism. He added:

"Jordanians, Muslims and Christians, are partners in land, history, and destiny, and a terrorist crime will never undermine their deep-rooted brotherhood and their partnership in life that has extended over centuries."

Khasawneh concluded his statement by renewing his reverence and tribute to the souls of the nation's righteous martyrs, expressing absolute solidarity with their families, and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, extending the highest greetings and thanks to the brave men and women of the Jordanian security services and the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, who keep watch over the nation's security and the tranquility of its people and perform their duty with honor and capability.

May God protect Jordan, perpetuate the blessing of security and unity upon it, and protect its Hashemite leadership, its people, and its military and security institutions.
