Meteorology warns of poor horizontal visibility due to dust in parts of the Kingdom

Meteorology: Heavy rain expected in parts of the Kingdom and warnings of torrents and dust

The Meteorological Department warned of poor horizontal visibility due to raising dust and dirt in parts of the central regions, including the capital Amman, calling for caution and vigilance, especially for users of external roads during the coming hours.

The department's latest weather radar image updates indicated the occurrence of medium to heavy intensity showers in scattered places of the Kingdom, which may be accompanied by lightning and thunder at times.

According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will drop slightly on Tuesday, while the weather remains generally moderate with clouds appearing at various altitudes, and scattered and intermittent showers of rain are likely.

With the noon hours, the effect of the atmospheric instability will increase, making the weather partly cloudy to cloudy, with expectations of rain showers in scattered places of the Kingdom, including Aqaba and the Dead Sea, which may be accompanied by lightning, thunder, and sometimes hail.

The department expected the rain to be heavy at intervals during the evening and night hours in some areas, which may lead to the formation of torrents in valleys and low-lying areas, including Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

The winds will be westerly of moderate speed, active at times and raising dust before the rainfall, leading to poor horizontal visibility, especially in the Badia regions.
