"National Development" condemns the attack on a church in Karak and affirms: Jordan's security and national unity are a red line

The National Development Party condemns in the strongest terms the shooting incident that occurred inside a church in Karak Governorate, and the reported casualties and injuries, affirming that attacking houses of worship and terrorizing peaceful people is an act rejected and condemned by all standards, and represents an infringement on the security of Jordanian society and its established national and humanitarian values.

The party stresses that Jordan's security, stability, and national unity are red lines that must not be crossed under any circumstances, and that attempts to sow fear and division among the people of the one Jordanian nation will not undermine the cohesion of our internal front, nor our national model based on brotherhood, tolerance, and coexistence between Muslims and Christians, who are united by sincere belonging to Jordan and loyalty to its Hashemite leadership.

The National Development Party affirms its absolute support for the Jordanian state and its wise Hashemite leadership, and its full support for our valiant security services and the Arab Army in performing their national duty to protect citizens and safeguard the security and stability of the homeland, calling for holding accountable everyone proven responsible for this attack in accordance with the law, in a manner that ensures justice and prevents the recurrence of such incidents.

The party also warns of the danger of exploiting the incident to incite sedition, spread hate speech, or disseminate rumors and unreliable information, and calls on everyone to adhere to what is issued by the competent official authorities and to exercise national responsibility under these circumstances.

Jordan, with its Hashemite leadership and its united people, is stronger than all attempts to tamper with its security or undermine its unity, and inclusive citizenship and cohesion among all Jordanians will remain the safety valve in the face of everything that threatens the security of the homeland and the safety of its children.

May God protect Jordan, protect His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and his trustworthy Crown Prince, and perpetuate upon our homeland the blessing of security, stability, and national unity.
