((It Must Shine)) represents Jordan at the Egyptian Opera House with ((The Gift.. What If..??))

The "It Must Shine" initiative and troupe, representing Jordan at the tenth edition of the "Our Children" International Forum for the Arts of People with Special Abilities in Egypt, presented its experimental theatrical performance "The Gift.. What If?" at the Egyptian Opera House as part of the forum's activities, which brings together artistic and cultural contributions from Arab and foreign countries.

Jordanian students with disabilities, members of the "It Must Shine" initiative, participated in the performance, in a theatrical experience that places their abilities and talents at the heart of cultural action and employs theater as a space for expression, participation, and enhancing their presence in the cultural and artistic scenes.

The performance witnessed a large audience and interaction, and was attended by the Jordanian Ambassador in Cairo, Amjad Al-Adaileh, alongside the Cultural and Media Counselor at the Embassy, Dr. Alaa Al-Zayoud, and a number of artists and forum guests.

The attendance at the Jordanian performance emphasized the importance of Arab artistic participation in strengthening cultural exchange paths, especially in the field of arts related to empowering people with disabilities and providing them with the opportunity to present their experiences and talents on international artistic platforms.

Al-Adaileh expressed his appreciation for the cultural and artistic movement in Egypt, praising the cooperation and cultural exchange between Jordan and Egypt, and the resulting mutual participation of troupes, artists, intellectuals, and writers from both countries.

The Jordanian participation comes within an exceptional edition of the "Our Children" forum, which celebrates this year the tenth anniversary of its launch. The activities of its tenth edition are held from September 17 to 24, with the participation of delegations from 54 Arab and foreign countries, and a program that includes theatrical, cinematic, and musical performances, folk arts, visual arts, seminars, and workshops.

The third day of the forum, held on Saturday, witnessed the presentation of the Jordanian performance "The Gift" alongside other theatrical performances and specialized seminars, as part of a program that continues to present the arts as a means of expression and enabling participation for people with special abilities.

"It Must Shine" had selected the participants in the performance from among about 80 students within the "Bright Spaces" project, as part of an experience aimed at developing students' skills in arts and teamwork and providing them with the opportunity to express themselves and their abilities through theater.

The work team includes Razan Al-Kurdi and Murad Abu Saraya in directing, Razan Al-Kurdi in writing the script, Dima Sweidan in music, and Aya Hamza in costumes and makeup, while the acting cast included Ahmed Shahaltough, Ahmed Al-Maslouqi, Majd Al-Hindawi, Salah Al-Hourani, Shahda Abdel Samad, and Abdul Rahman Al-Duwaikat.

The Jordanian participation in the forum confirms the presence of the local theatrical experience in international artistic events, and opens a space to introduce Jordanian talents with disabilities and experiences that seek to expand their presence in cultural and artistic life, far from limiting their participation to traditional frameworks.
