The 21st Ramtha Arabic Poetry Festival concluded on Thursday evening at the Zai Cultural Forum, in a literary evening that brought together six poets from Jordan, Iraq, and Tunisia, in celebration of the poetic word and its role in expressing the nation's issues and strengthening the bonds of Arab cultural communication.

The closing ceremony was sponsored by the Director of the Balqa Culture Directorate, Amer Al-Shibli, representing the Minister of Culture, Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, in the presence of the President of the Ramtha Cultural Forum, Mohammed Al-Zoubi, as well as a number of intellectuals, literary enthusiasts, and an audience of poetry lovers.

The evening featured Tunisian poet Shams al-Din al-Awni, Iraqi poets Dr. Rawiya al-Shaer and Reem Qais Kubba, alongside Jordanian poets Dr. Rashid Issa, Yousef Abdel Aziz, and Aisha al-Hattab, who presented a bouquet of poems with diverse themes ranging from national and social to humanitarian, reflecting the Arab poet's preoccupation with the issues of their nation and the aspirations of its peoples for freedom, unity, and justice in the face of injustice and aggression.

The audience interacted with the poetic texts presented by the participants, amidst a literary atmosphere that embodied the status of poetry in the Arab cultural scene and its ability to express the collective conscience and evoke common issues among the people of the nation.

In a welcoming speech, the President of the Zai Cultural Forum expressed his pride in hosting Arab and Jordanian poets, pointing to the depth of the ties that unite the people of the one nation, and the role Jordan plays in embracing brothers and standing by those affected by wars and crises, remaining an oasis of security, safety, and peace under the wise Hashemite leadership.

For his part, Al-Shibli welcomed the Arab participants to Jordan, emphasizing that they are among their family and in their second home. He also welcomed the Jordanian poets and the attendees, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Minister of Culture to the participants, and valued the importance of these meetings in supporting the poetry movement and expanding the spaces for interaction among Arab creators.

At the end of the evening, Al-Shibli distributed certificates of appreciation to the participating poets in recognition of their contributions and for enriching the festival's activities.
