In a speech delivered during the event, Al-Jarrah emphasized the importance of culture in building societal awareness and strengthening national identity, stressing the need to bring cultural activities to various areas of Irbid Governorate, especially areas far from city centers, to expand community participation and contribute to discovering talents.
She pointed to the importance of embracing youth energies and encouraging literary initiatives, considering that poetry festivals provide opportunities for communication between creators and the public, and contribute to strengthening the presence of the Arabic language and preserving cultural heritage.
For his part, the Director of Irbid Culture, Dr. Sultan Al-Zaghoul, said that the festival represents a space to embrace creative voices and enhance the presence of poetry in public life, as an expression of memory, identity, and conscience.
