Naming a street in Madaba after the "Martyrs of Hamoud Church"

The Greater Madaba Municipality named one of the city's streets "Martyrs of Hamoud Church," in commemoration of the martyrs of the terrorist crime in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate, and to affirm that the blood and suffering of Jordanians are one, and that the homeland unites its people in love, brotherhood, and solidarity in the face of adversity.

The head of the municipality committee, Haitham Jweinat, said on Monday that this naming carries a national and humanitarian message that transcends the boundaries of the place, to confirm that the memory of the martyrs will remain present in the conscience of Jordanians, and that loyalty to them is by preserving national unity, promoting the values of tolerance, and consolidating the bonds between the people of one nation.

He added that this step expresses feelings of solidarity with the people of Karak Governorate and standing by the families of the martyrs and the injured, stressing that Jordan will remain a model of national cohesion and brotherhood among its people, and that targeting any part of its social fabric affects all Jordanians.
