Jordanian Theater Show for People with Disabilities at the Egyptian Opera House

The initiative and troupe 'It Must Shine', which represented Jordan at the 10th International 'Our Children' Forum for the Arts of People with Disabilities in Egypt, presented a trial theater show titled: 'The Gift – What If?', on the Egyptian Opera House stage, yesterday Saturday, in the presence of the Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo, Amjad Al-Adayleh.

The show was presented by Jordanian students with disabilities, who are members of the initiative, and it received audience attendance and interaction, as it embodied a realistic expression of the necessity of empowering this category, and investing art and theater to enhance their integration into society and give them more opportunities in the cultural and artistic scene.

Al-Adayleh, in the presence of the cultural and media advisor at the embassy, Dr. Alaa Al-Zayoud, artists, and festival guests, expressed his appreciation for the cultural and artistic movement in the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is one of the most prominent Arab cultural paths, appreciating the cultural cooperation and exchange between Jordan and Egypt, which results in mutual participation from troupes, artists, intellectuals, and writers from both countries.

It should be noted that the initiative and troupe 'It Must Shine' selected the artists participating in the theater show from among about 80 students within the 'Bright Spaces' project.

The team included Razan Al-Kurdi and Murad Abu Saraya in directing, Dima Sweidan in music, Razan Al-Kurdi in writing the script, Aya Hamza in costumes and makeup, while the actors included: Ahmed Shahaltoug, Ahmed Al-Maslouqi, Majd Al-Hindi, Salah Al-Hourani, Shahdaa Abdul-Salam, and Abdul Rahman Al-Dweikat.
