The English Language Skills Enrichment Program continued at the Al-Dhuleil Youth Center, affiliated with the Zarqa Governorate Youth Directorate. The program is implemented by the Ministry of Youth in partnership with Al-Balqa Applied University as part of a package of training programs in youth centers, and within the Youth Development Project funded by the U.S. Embassy in Amman, with the participation of 27 young men and women from the center's members.
The program aims to enrich the English language skills of Jordanian youth and enhance conversation, communication, and life skills in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), through interactive, non-traditional, learner-centered teaching methods. This contributes to empowering youth, enhancing their educational and professional opportunities, and increasing their readiness for the labor market.
The program includes interactive training activities that focus on conversation, listening, reading, and writing skills, alongside practical applications that simulate work environments, such as preparing resumes, professional communication, and conducting interviews in English, contributing to enhancing participants' ability for self-learning and using the English language in daily and professional contexts.
Participants emphasized that the program provided a space for development and confidence through the acquisition of new skills, noting that the teaching methods were distinguished by their interactive and enjoyable approach, which helped make the language more accessible and easier to utilize in daily life and studies.
