The Greater Amman Municipality confirmed the deployment of its field teams and machinery across various areas of the capital to deal with the repercussions of the weather conditions and the depression affecting the Kingdom, and to take the necessary measures to address observations and reports received.
The capital witnessed heavy rainfall over a short period, which caused soil erosion in a number of locations, necessitating an immediate response from the Municipality's cadres and specialized teams, who worked to treat the affected sites, remove soil, and clear rainwater drainage channels to ensure smooth traffic flow and mitigate the effects of the weather conditions.
The Municipality confirmed that its field cadres and machinery are operating according to the emergency response plan, with continuous monitoring from operations rooms, to deal with various observations promptly and ensure a rapid response to address any effects resulting from the intensity of the rainfall.
The Municipality called on citizens to exercise caution during the weather conditions, stay away from valleys and low-lying areas, and report any observations via the unified call center (102).
