"New Mu'ab" prepares for weather depressions and enhances rainwater drainage readiness

The head of the New Mu'ab Municipality Committee, Ibrahim Al-Majali, confirmed that the municipality continues to implement its field measures and necessary preparations to receive expected weather depressions by intensifying cleaning operations for culverts and rainwater drainage channels in various areas of the municipality, contributing to mitigating the effects of rainfall and maintaining public safety.

Al-Majali stated that the municipality's crews continued their field work, carrying out re-cleaning operations for culverts and rainwater drainage channels in the Al-Ashrafiya and Harat Aiyal Issa areas, with the aim of removing obstacles and debris that could affect water flow and limit the efficiency of drainage networks during periods of heavy rainfall.

He added that these works come within the municipality's plan to prepare for the winter season and face expected weather conditions, and within the framework of continuous monitoring of infrastructure and rainwater collection sites, to ensure the readiness of culverts and channels and their ability to absorb and drain water safely.

Al-Majali explained that the municipality continues to monitor sites that may experience water accumulation and work to address them according to available capabilities, emphasizing the importance of preventive and proactive measures in reducing potential risks and limiting damage that may affect property or impact the movement of citizens and vehicles during weather depressions.

He pointed out that the municipality's crews will continue to carry out cleaning and field inspection work, in parallel with following up on observations received from citizens and responding to emergency needs according to priorities, which enhances the level of readiness to deal with various weather conditions.

Al-Majali called on citizens to cooperate with the municipality and not to throw waste or debris into rainwater drainage channels and culverts, as this has a direct impact on obstructing water flow and increasing the likelihood of water accumulation, stressing that maintaining the readiness of water drainage facilities is a shared responsibility that requires the concerted efforts of official and community entities.
