Al-Junaid Municipality intensifies its preparations and reopens blocked culverts

Al-Junaid Municipality has intensified its preparations to receive weather depressions and the winter season by carrying out comprehensive cleaning and maintenance work for culverts and rainwater drainage manholes, with the aim of enhancing public safety and reducing water accumulation in streets and residential areas.

The head of the Al-Junaid Municipal Committee, Katheeb Al-Ghazawi, said that the municipality's crews carried out cleaning work for a number of large culverts that were completely blocked due to the accumulation of dirt and waste, as they were cleaned and reopened, in addition to cleaning and preparing a large number of culverts, manholes, and grates to ensure the smooth flow of rainwater drainage.

He added that these works come within the continuous field efforts made by the municipality to raise the level of infrastructure readiness and prepare to deal with expected weather conditions, which contributes to preserving the safety of citizens and their property.

He pointed out that the municipality's crews continue to work until late hours to accomplish the required tasks, stressing the municipality's keenness to monitor the conditions of rainwater drainage networks and take the necessary measures to reduce blockages and water accumulation during weather depressions.

Al-Ghazawi valued the efforts of the labor supervisor, Baslan Al-Momani, and all the municipality's staff, praising their sincerity, dedication to work, and continuous giving to serve the citizens and improve the level of services provided to them.
