Al-Khashman added that the municipality has divided its field crews into 12 working teams, in addition to two reserve teams, with the aim of enhancing field deployment, distributing tasks according to priorities, and enabling teams to deal immediately with observations, reports, and emergency cases in various areas of the city.
He pointed out that the field teams dealt with a number of observations that accompanied the weather conditions, including placing concrete barriers in some locations to protect basement houses in Zarqa from water flow, in addition to addressing a case of water accumulation in one of the city's tunnels, where the accumulated water was pumped out and the situation was restored to normal.
Al-Khashman indicated that the weather conditions caused a power outage for several minutes while dealing with the water accumulation in the tunnel, confirming that it was quickly rectified, which contributed to limiting its effects and ensuring the continued handling of the situation in accordance with public safety requirements.
He emphasized that the municipality continues to monitor developments in weather conditions and harness its human, technical, and logistical capabilities to deal with any developments, noting that proactive measures and field readiness are a fundamental pillar in reducing the risks resulting from rainfall and protecting citizens and their property.
Al-Khashman called on citizens to cooperate with municipal crews, report water accumulations or clogged drainage manholes, and stay away from locations experiencing high water levels to ensure their safety and the safety of road users.
