Under Royal patronage, the activities of the twenty-fifth session, the "Silver Jubilee," of the Amman International Book Fair 2026 kick off today, Thursday. The fair is organized by the Jordan Publishers Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the Greater Amman Municipality, and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, with the participation of about 400 Jordanian, Arab, and international publishing houses from 22 countries, while the Syrian Arab Republic is the guest of honor for this session.

The fair's activities will be held at the Jordan International Exhibition Center at "Mecca Mall" from September 24th to October 3rd, in a session that coincides with the 25th anniversary of the fair's launch and offers a diverse cultural and artistic program, in addition to the participation of new publishing houses for the first time.

President of the Jordan Publishers Union and Director of the Fair, Jaber Abu Fares, said that the current session comes within the framework of the fair's 25-year journey, noting that the cultural program has expanded this year in cooperation with a number of national cultural institutions.

The program includes about 60 events distributed between intellectual, critical, and philosophical seminars, literary sessions, and poetry evenings in both classical and Nabati styles, in addition to events addressing the "Jordanian Narrative Project.. The Arab and international dimension is present in the program through about 40 guests from Syria, the guest of honor of the session, in addition to participants from Palestine, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, the Sultanate of Oman, and China.

The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation oversees a special program for children that includes artistic and folkloric performances, as well as art and photography exhibitions, expanding the fair's presence to include different age groups.

The fair welcomes its visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with the exception of Friday, when its doors open from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at the exhibition hall in Mecca Mall, Gate No. (3).
