The President of the Jordanian Publishers' Union and the Director of the Exhibition, Jbr Abu Faris, said that the arrival of the exhibition to its twenty-fifth session, which represents the silver jubilee, constitutes "a declaration of the maturity of this national cultural phenomenon," noting that the Union of Publishers was keen to reflect the celebration of this occasion in the structure of the cultural program, by combining national documentation and openness to future issues, artificial intelligence, and digital culture.
Abu Faris added that the program reflects the expansion of local, Arab, and international cultural partnerships, pointing to dialogues that address Arab-Chinese cultural exchange and the Silk Road, thereby enhancing Amman's role as a space for civilizational and humanitarian dialogue.
For his part, the Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the Exhibition, the writer, publisher, and media figure Ja'far Al-Aqili, said that the program was designed to be a "platform for cognitive engagement that questions the present and anticipates the future," explaining that it addresses issues of culture in the age of social media and artificial intelligence, the future of children's literature, in addition to celebrating Jordanian creative experiences and symbols, and attracting young voices.
The cultural program will open on September 24 with seminars on documentation in Jordanian narrative, the heroism of the Arab Army, and literary criticism in Jordan, alongside poetry readings and a seminar on biographical literature, while the Royal Cultural Center will witness a seminar on "Jordanian Narrative... Jordan: Land and People."
The events will continue over the days of the exhibition with various axes, including Jordanian-Syrian cultural relations, Arab media in the age of social media, literature of war, the book and library in the age of artificial intelligence, the Arab Renaissance, electronic publishing, translation, writing for children, science fiction, the Silk Road, and Arab-Chinese cultural exchange.
The program also includes poetry evenings, literary readings, and events to celebrate a number of Jordanian creative names, including the late poet Habib Al-Zaydi and the late storyteller Muhammad Tamleh, in addition to a special program for children supervised by the Abdul Hamid Shoman Foundation.
