Al-Azzam: Plan to Create an Emergency Bypass Starting from the Culture Intersection and Ending at the Naseem Signal

The Chairman of the Irbid Greater Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azzam, announced the existence of an integrated plan to start implementing and creating an emergency bypass starting from the Culture Intersection signal towards the west, reaching the Naseem signals, to facilitate the movement of medical cases and expedite their arrival at hospitals, and to enhance traffic connectivity between them, which contributes to reducing the time vehicles take for emergency cases to reach health facilities.

He added that the project aims to create an emergency route connecting King Abdullah University Hospital, the new Princess Basma Hospital, Princess Rahma Children's Hospital, and Princess Badiea Hospital for Gynecology and Obstetrics, enhancing easy access to these hospitals and helping to deal with cases that require quick access to medical care.

Al-Azzam said that the first phase of the project will be implemented over a length of about 250 meters, starting from the Culture Intersection signal to what is known as the Komuster Square, with subsequent phases to complete the implementation of the bypass reaching the Naseem signals, within a plan aimed at providing a route that facilitates the movement of ambulance vehicles and medical cases in the area.

Al-Azzam confirmed that the Municipality views this project as part of its responsibility to improve the reality of roads and services provided to citizens and to provide a more flexible traffic environment that contributes to facilitating the movement of vehicles, especially in emergency cases that require time-saving and easier access to hospitals.

He pointed out that the plan comes within the framework of enhancing the connection between health facilities and facilitating access to them, serving the people of Irbid Governorate and the surrounding areas, and enhancing the efficiency of traffic movement around hospitals.
