In a press statement, Al-Azzam said that the project includes the road extending from the Barada signal to the new traffic light located after the Sarih-Hawara signal, noting that the implementation of the rehabilitation and paving works comes due to the importance of the road and its need for comprehensive rehabilitation after years of heavy use.
He emphasized that Hawara road is considered one of the main and strategic roads in Irbid Governorate and enjoys active traffic around the clock, and it also constitutes an important corridor towards a number of vital areas, most notably the Al-Hassan Industrial City, in addition to its role in serving commercial and industrial movement and the transport of goods.
Al-Azzam explained that the project includes rehabilitation and paving works for the road, which contributes to raising its level of readiness, improving traffic flow, and enhancing safety for its users, especially in light of the density of vehicle and truck traffic that the road witnesses.
He pointed out that awarding the tender to the contractor officially represents a new executive step to begin the project's works, confirming that the municipality continues to implement its projects in the field of road infrastructure according to priorities and actual need, with the aim of improving the level of services provided to citizens and enhancing the efficiency of the road network in various areas of the municipality.
Al-Azzam stressed the importance of the road as one of the main arteries for traffic, commercial, and industrial movement in Irbid, pointing out that its rehabilitation and paving will constitute an important addition to the reality of the infrastructure and serve road users and the areas and sectors associated with it.
