Public Security: Three perpetrators of the Karak church attack arrested

* Terrorism has no place among us, and this group, which has deviated from religion, customs, and morals, has met its just fate at the hands of the security forces.

** We stand on guard and will strike with an iron fist, without mercy or leniency, anyone who attempts to undermine Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens.

** We reiterate our prayers for mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for those injured in the terrorist incident.

The Public Security Directorate announced that joint specialized investigation and raid teams, along with security agencies, were able at dawn today, following continuous and relentless search and sweep operations, to identify the location of the three terrorists who carried out the cowardly terrorist attack against Jordanian citizens at a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate.

In a statement, the Directorate confirmed that the three terrorists had barricaded themselves inside an abandoned house, refused to surrender, and initiated gunfire toward the security force. The rules of engagement were applied until they were subdued and arrested after all of them were wounded, with no injuries reported among the security forces.

The Directorate added that a collection of firearms and ammunition was seized in their possession following their arrest and the search of their location.

The Public Security Directorate reiterated its prayers for mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the injured who were targeted by the cowardly hands of terrorism.

Affirming that Jordan will remain resilient against anyone who attempts to undermine its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens. May God protect Jordan, its leadership, and its people.
