The occupation escalates its attacks in the West Bank

8 Palestinians martyred in Israeli strikes on Gaza

Israeli occupation forces and settlers have escalated their attacks in occupied Jerusalem and the Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank. These actions included storming the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, arresting 20 Palestinians, tightening the military siege on areas in Hebron, and forcing hundreds of families to flee their homes, in addition to establishing two new settlement outposts.

In occupied Jerusalem, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque—the Noble Sanctuary—under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police, and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.

The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem stated that settlers stormed the mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, organized tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area under the protection of occupation forces.

In the Hebron Governorate, Israeli occupation forces continue their comprehensive aggression for the third consecutive day, amidst an escalation of raids, arrests, and a tightened military siege.

The Hebron Governorate reported that occupation forces raided the towns of Dura, Yatta, and Al-Samu' in the south of the governorate and arrested 20 citizens.

In the same context, occupation forces tightened their military siege imposed on the cities, towns, villages, and camps of the governorate, closed all roads leading to them, and are pursuing anyone attempting to enter or leave. Meanwhile, they continue to close the Al-Jalda and Ein Deir Bahah areas in Hebron after forcibly evacuating large parts of them, and over the past three days, they have forced more than 200 Palestinian families to flee and displaced 2,500 citizens from Deir Bahah and Al-Jalda from their homes by force.

Furthermore, groups of settlers began establishing two new settlement outposts on Palestinian citizens' lands in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, while a group of settlers stole 12 heads of sheep in the same area.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh said that a group of armed settlers began establishing a colonial outpost on citizens' lands in the Khallat al-Fara area west of Yatta, where they set up a tent, brought bulldozers and excavation machinery, and began leveling and digging the land in preparation for construction.

He added that settlers established another settlement outpost in the Yatta desert, on citizens' lands located between the villages of Al-Zuweidin and Umm Qussa, set up a number of tents, and began establishing infrastructure for water and electricity.

On the other hand, eight Palestinians were martyred and others were injured as a result of a series of Israeli raids on the northern, central, and southern Gaza Strip, according to the Civil Defense and medical sources.
