The King: There is no room for compromise or appeasement regarding Jordan's water security

His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that water security is a national priority that is not subject to compromise or complacency, stressing that Jordan will not allow the thirst of Jordans to be held hostage to any circumstance.
During the Speech from the Throne, with which he opened the third ordinary session of the 20th Parliament, His Majesty directed the government to continue implementing water security projects and to develop proactive plans to protect water resources and ensure their sustainability, in a manner that preserves the rights of future generations.
His Majesty the King emphasized the necessity of treating the water file as a strategic issue that affects national security and stability, affirming the importance of continuing work to enhance water security and provide sustainable water sources, in a way that guarantees meeting the needs of citizens and protecting national resources.
