The Defense Office (Military Attaché) of the Egyptian Embassy in the Kingdom organized a formal reception ceremony in the capital Amman on Thursday evening, on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the glorious October War victories, coinciding with the celebration of the Egyptian Armed Forces Day.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of official, military, and diplomatic figures, accredited military attachés to the Kingdom, representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, and the staff of the Egyptian Embassy in Amman.
The Egyptian Defense Attaché in Jordan, Colonel Mohamed Fadl, said that the Armed Forces are an integral part of the great Egyptian people from whom they derive their strength and bear their responsibilities in protecting the homeland and preserving its capabilities, and that they have been able throughout their history to prove their ability to face various challenges and defend the national security of their country.
Fadl expressed his pride in the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in various fields, especially in the military and defense sectors.
He stressed that the challenges resulting from the ongoing interactions in the security environment of the Middle East push towards dealing responsibly with common issues to restore regional security and stability and achieve the requirements of security in its comprehensive sense.
Colonel Fadl recalled the heroism and sacrifices of the Egyptian Armed Forces during the October War, affirming that this victory remains a landmark in modern military history and a living witness to the will of the Egyptian soldier and his firm determination to defend his homeland's soil and protect its sanctities.
He emphasized that Egypt, which fought to regain its territories, is the same one that always seeks to achieve peace, has never sought wars or conflicts, and believes that cooperation between peoples is the way to peace, construction, and development, and that achieving security and stability does not depend solely on national efforts but also requires cooperation, understanding, and the exchange of expertise between countries and respect for sovereignty over their territorial integrity and non-interference in their internal affairs.
The ceremony included a presentation of videos about the development of the Armed Forces in the sister Arab Republic of Egypt and an exchange of congratulations on this occasion.
