The Iraqi Embassy held a reception yesterday evening, Thursday, on the occasion of the 94th National Day of the Republic of Iraq and Iraqi Sovereignty Day, in the presence of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nancy Namrouqa, representing the Jordanian government, along with a number of ministers, senators, deputies, ambassadors, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, and political, cultural, media, and academic figures.
Iraqi Ambassador Omar Al-Barazanchi delivered a speech in which he emphasized Iraq's pride in its historical and brotherly relations with Jordan, praising the positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II towards Iraq, and reiterating Iraq's keenness to continue strengthening cooperation between the two countries, in addition to affirming its supportive stance for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
