General Union of Voluntary Societies appreciates the efforts of the Ministry of Social Development in promoting the mission of charitable, voluntary work, and sustainable development

The President of the General Union of Voluntary Societies, Amer Al-Khawaldeh, along with the heads of the governorate unions and charitable societies, appreciated the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Social Development, represented by the Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa, and the support recently provided by the Ministry from its allocations to the General Union of Voluntary Societies, governorate unions, and charitable societies, which enhances the role of the charitable, voluntary, and developmental sector, and consolidates the values of social solidarity and cohesion in various regions of the Kingdom.
Al-Khawaldeh emphasized that the Ministry's keenness to strengthen the partnership with the General Union of Voluntary Societies and civil society institutions contributes to empowering societies to continue their humanitarian and social mission, improving the living conditions of needy families, and implementing initiatives and programs that respond to the needs of local communities and their developmental priorities.
He pointed out that charitable societies play a pivotal role in the social protection system by providing humanitarian aid, implementing voluntary initiatives, supporting the most needy families, in addition to enhancing the participation of youth and women in community work, and spreading the culture of social responsibility and volunteer work.
Al-Khawaldeh affirmed that this support contributes to enhancing the sustainability of the work of charitable societies and unions, empowering them to continue providing their services to local communities, and developing their programs to keep pace with social and developmental needs, thereby achieving a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of citizens.
He stressed the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the Union and the Ministry, and intensifying joint efforts to develop social, environmental, and developmental initiatives in line with sustainable development goals, which contributes to enhancing societal cohesion and improving the quality of life.
Al-Khawaldeh noted the keenness of the General Union of Voluntary Societies to expand partnerships with official institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations, enhance voluntary and humanitarian programs, and direct available resources towards sustainable developmental projects and initiatives that serve local communities in various governorates of the Kingdom.
