The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) documented, during the period from December 8, 2024, to October 6, 2026, at least 453 ground incursions carried out by Israeli occupation forces in Syria, concentrated in the governorates of Quneitra and Daraa, and to a lesser extent in Rif Dimashq.
The network stated that the documentation operations recorded the killing of at least 69 people, in addition to at least 162 cases of arbitrary detention, noting that 127 people have been released, while the fate of 35 others remains unknown to the network and the victims' families.
The network documented the demolition of at least 15 civilian homes following an incursion by Israeli occupation forces in the village of Al-Hamidiyah in the Quneitra countryside.
It also monitored large-scale bulldozing operations in the Jubata al-Khashab nature reserve in the northern Quneitra countryside on October 17 and 18, 2025, in addition to observing the spraying of grazing lands in Quneitra in late January 2026 with a substance the network could not identify.
On October 4, the resumption of bulldozing operations by Israeli occupation forces was observed west of the village of Al-Ashah and the town of Al-Rafid, at what is known as the "Sofa 53 line".
The network pointed out that Israeli occupation forces carried out hundreds of airstrikes in the governorates of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Hama, Latakia, Homs, Tartus, As-Suwayda, and Idlib.
