Successful Career Day at Jordanian Investors

The Jordanian Investors Association and the Danish Refugee Council organized a successful career day on Monday, in partnership with 40 major factories and industrial establishments, in collaboration with the Vocational Training Corporation, the Central Employment Directorate, and the National Employment Program under the Ministry of Labor, aiming to provide job opportunities for job seekers in various specialties and professional levels.

The career day, held at the Association's headquarters in the King Abdullah II Industrial City in the Sahab area, saw a wide attendance from factory representatives and hundreds of job seekers.

The Association's President, Majed Al-Rijbi, said that the participating companies offered a variety of job opportunities, including positions for engineers, operations managers, university and vocational college graduates, vocational training institutions, technicians, workers, and opportunities in digitalization, technology, digital marketing, and administrative systems.

Al-Rijbi added to Petra, the Jordanian News Agency, that the career day achieved its targeted outcomes by conducting direct interviews between factories and job seekers, and by conducting an initial alignment between the qualifications of applicants and the actual needs of industrial establishments.

He pointed out that the available vacancies were also recorded and the data of qualified candidates were registered to complete the employment procedures and follow-up in the coming phase, stressing that the wide participation and attendance reflect the need of the industrial sector for direct and effective employment platforms that bring together employers and job seekers in search of real opportunities.

He explained that the success of the career day is not only measured by the number of participants but also by its ability to convert available vacancies into actual employment opportunities and facilitate the access of factories to the competencies and workforce they need.

Al-Rijbi confirmed that the Association will follow up with factories, companies, and partner agencies on the results of the interviews to ensure the completion of employment procedures and achieve a tangible and sustainable impact.

For his part, the Program Director of the Danish Refugee Council, Engineer Abdul-Karim Jaafra, confirmed that the career day is an extension of the partnership between the Council and the Association to serve the local community and provide job opportunities for those seeking them, funded by the European Union.

Jaafra explained that the Council has implemented 15 career days in various governorates of the Kingdom, noting that the career day implemented in cooperation with the Association is the largest and targeted the industrial sector due to its significant role in employment and job creation.

For her part, the Association's Director, Dr. Hanin Hassouna, pointed out that the organization of the day comes within the Association's plan to enhance the role of the industrial sector in providing job opportunities and contributing to reducing unemployment, and to build a sustainable partnership with the Ministry of Labor, international organizations, and supporting entities, in line with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision and national employment priorities.
