According to a statement by Jordan's Industrial Cities Company on Sunday, the participation comes within the framework of government efforts to expand investment partnerships and explore active German participation in the Jordanian-European Investment Conference scheduled to be held in the Kingdom during October next year.
During the participation, the Chairman of the Company's Board, Yassin, presented the available investment opportunities provided by Jordan's industrial cities, which form a major gateway for European investments wishing to reach the Jordanian and regional markets, due to their integrated infrastructure, equipped industrial sites, and specialized services, in addition to a system of incentives and facilities that contribute to empowering the investor and facilitating the establishment and expansion of industrial projects.
He added that the company, in conjunction with government efforts, looks forward to building new investment partnerships with German companies and attracting high-quality investments with added value, especially in technological, food, pharmaceutical, engineering, and energy-related and export-linked industries, which contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the Jordanian industry and opening new markets for national products, as Jordan possesses many assets that qualify it to be a regional center for industry and investment.
Yassin invited German investors and companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities that the company will offer during the conference, especially in the Zarqa Industrial City, which is the latest industrial city in Jordan and forms a strong base for attracting valuable European investments, which will reflect on increasing investments, enhancing exports, transferring technology and expertise, and providing quality job opportunities for Jordanians.
During the meetings, Yassin held a meeting with a German company, during which he discussed the project to develop the digital infrastructure of the Zarqa Industrial City, where this development is expected to contribute, according to the initial project concept, to reducing energy consumption by up to 50%, by taking advantage of a grant provided through one of the German government programs, which enhances the concept of smart cities and supports sustainable digital transformation in the Zarqa Industrial City.
He praised the efforts of the Jordanian Ministry of Investment and all concerned ministries in supporting the investment environment in the Kingdom and industrial cities in particular and promoting investment opportunities in them.
It should be noted that the participation included the Munich Business and Technology Forum and a Jordanian-German round table on investment at the Ministry of Economy in the state of Bavaria, where a number of officials and representatives of the German business community participated, where investment and partnership opportunities in the sectors of transport, energy, industry, technology, logistics services, and prospects for developing joint projects were discussed.
