Mayor of Irbid Municipality Committee Calls for Commitment to Public Hygiene

The Chairman of the Irbid Municipality Committee, Imad Al-Azzam, appealed to citizens to ensure the proper disposal of waste in designated containers and not to throw it randomly beside the containers or on the streets, emphasizing that such practices negatively impact the overall cleanliness level and mar the city's visual appeal.

Commenting on the sight of large quantities of shoes being thrown on the street next to a waste container, Al-Azzam pointed out that the municipality provides containers in various areas to enable citizens to dispose of waste in an organized manner. However, the act of some individuals throwing waste outside the containers leads to its accumulation and spread on the streets and sidewalks.

He stressed that maintaining the city's cleanliness is a shared responsibility and that the municipality alone cannot address the consequences of improper practices. He called on citizens to cooperate with municipal staff and to commit to disposing of waste in designated containers, which contributes to preserving the cleanliness of streets and neighborhoods and improving the urban landscape.

Al-Azzam emphasized that community cooperation and adherence to proper waste management practices are essential factors in enhancing the overall cleanliness level and preserving the urban appearance of Irbid City.
