The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the illegal entry of the Israeli Prime Minister into the Mount Hermon area in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, in a flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, a blatant breach of international law, and an unacceptable provocation.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of this dangerous violation, which constitutes an infringement upon the sovereignty of an Arab state and an unacceptable escalation. He stressed the necessity of halting all Israeli measures targeting Syria's security and stability, which constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and Israel's obligations under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Al-Majali called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, compel Israel to halt its illegal provocative attacks on Syria, end its occupation of part of its territory, and ensure its commitment to respecting the rules of international law, international legitimacy resolutions, state sovereignty, and non-interference in their affairs.
He also reiterated the Kingdom's steadfast position in supporting sisterly Syria in rebuilding on foundations that guarantee its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, the territorial integrity of its land and citizens, and preserve the rights of all Syrians.
