Jordan Condemns Resumption of Occupation Work on So-Called 'Sofa Line 53' in Syrian Quneitra

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the resumption of Israeli occupation work on the so-called 'Sofa Line 53' in Quneitra in the sister Syrian Arab Republic; a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a flagrant breach of international law.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry, Ambassador Fuad Al-Mujalii, affirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the continued Israeli violations and aggressions on Syrian territory, emphasizing the necessity to halt all Israeli actions targeting Syria, which constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and Israel's commitments under the Disengagement Agreement of 1974.

Al-Mujalii called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, to compel Israel to stop its aggressions and violations on Syrian territory, to end its occupation of part of its territory, and to ensure its commitment to respect the rules of international law, the resolutions of international legitimacy, and the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their affairs.

Al-Mujalii renewed the Kingdom's steadfast stance in supporting sister Syria in reconstruction on the basis that guarantees its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, territorial integrity, and the rights of its citizens, and preserves the rights of all Syrians.
