Iraqi receives Washington's response to the 7-day proposal

Reuters quoted a well-informed source as saying that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqi and his team met on Tuesday evening with Qatari mediators in Doha, where the minister received the US response to the seven-day proposal, to be discussed in Tehran on Wednesday.

The source added that the document being negotiated includes a seven-day plan to build trust and return to a reinforced version of the memorandum of understanding signed by the United States and Iran in June.

He explained that the main disagreement between Washington and Tehran concerns the order of implementation of the steps, not the elements of the seven-day plan.

Iran had previously submitted a proposal through Qatari mediators that included steps to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and resume negotiations on the nuclear file, while indirect contacts between the two sides continue with Qatari mediation.
