Iran announced on Monday that it has summoned the Austrian Charge d'Affaires after his government refused to allow the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, to enter the country to participate in the International Atomic Energy Agency meeting in Vienna.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Bagheri, considered Vienna's refusal to "issue visas to the Iranian delegation an unjustified decision."
He added, "It is clear to us that this incident occurred under American pressure, but that does not exempt the Austrian government from responsibility."
