Al-Tibi: Netanyahu and Likud are trying to distort election results due to the strength of the Arab vote

The head of the Joint List bloc in the 1948 territories, MK Ahmed Al-Tibi, accused on Wednesday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party of attempting to distort election results and question their legitimacy, against the backdrop of the strength of the Arab vote and its role in preventing Netanyahu from forming a new government headed by him.

In response to Likud's accusations against Arab parties of rigging the elections, Al-Tibi said that Netanyahu and Likud "cannot stomach the strength of the Arab vote."

He added that incitement against Arab citizens is not new, but at this stage represents an attempt to delegitimize the votes of hundreds of thousands of them, pointing out that Netanyahu wants the votes of Arabs when they serve his political calculations, and describes them as forgery when they threaten his survival in power.

Al-Tibi stressed that the Joint List will not allow Netanyahu and Likud to steal its "democratic victory" or nullify the will of Arab voters through incitement and accusations, affirming that the elections were not stolen from Netanyahu, but rather that voters expressed their will through the ballot boxes.
