Hundreds of settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque amid attacks in Jerusalem

Hundreds of settlers, on Tuesday morning, stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, from the side of the Gate of the Moroccans, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police, and performed Talmudic rituals, prayers, collective songs, and applause.

The Jerusalem Governorate explained that the incursions came on the fourth day of the so-called Jewish "Feast of Tabernacles," noting that the settlers performed their rituals in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation police.

It added that the settlers assaulted Palestinians with beatings and dragging in the Bab al-Amoud area, and published video clips documenting their attacks on their pages on social media.

The incursions come amid the tightening of the occupation authorities' military measures around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, and the imposition of restrictions on the entry and movement of worshipers.

September witnessed repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the last of which was on Monday, with the participation of 1,731 settlers.

According to Jerusalem Governorate data, more than 40,661 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the beginning of the year until the end of August 2026, while the number of decisions to remove Jerusalemites from the mosque reached about 800 decisions from the beginning of the year until early September.
