A poetic and cultural evening was held at Beit Arar Cultural Center in Irbid, bringing together poet Ghadeer Hadadin and poet Hussein Gilad, organized by the Samar Forum for Culture and Arts.
The two poets presented different poetic experiences in terms of sound and style, but they agree on the belief that the poem is still capable of creating wonder, and opening new windows for reflection on man, life, and the homeland.
Poet and visual artist Ghadeer Hadadin presented a collection of her poetic texts, in the presence that carries the specificity of her experience, where the poem intersects with visual art and the humanitarian vision. Her texts were loaded with emotion, memory, love, homeland, and humanity, giving the poem a visual and emotional dimension that expresses her diverse creative experience.
Hadadin's experience carries an extended presence between poetry, art, cultural work, and humanitarianism, where she views creativity as a space for man, and an ability to touch memory and spirit, which was reflected in her poetic reading.
Poet and media figure Hussein Gilad also participated with a collection of his poems, in a reading characterized by presence and diversity, contributing to enriching the poetic dialogue during the evening.
The evening, which was directed by the head of Beit Samar for Culture and Arts, poet Ahmed Al-Kanani, gained its distinctiveness from the place that hosted it; Beit Arar is not just a witness to a stage in the history of Jordanian literature, but a poetic memory whose doors are still open to new generations and experiences, for the poem to continue its presence in the place from which it once moved to the minds of people.
Al-Kanani emphasizes in the cultural and poetic scene that cultural events should be:» a space for listening to different experiences, not just platforms for reading».
Poetry does not live in books alone, but in places, faces, and meetings, and in that moment when the poet and the audience gather around a word capable of leaving an impact that transcends the time of the evening.
