Major US stock indices rose on Monday, while the price of US "West Texas" oil fell by about two dollars, retreating to 101.48 per barrel.
At the close of today's trading session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 146 points to reach 52,361 points, an increase of 0.28 percent.
The US Nasdaq Composite Index rose 214 points to reach 26,169 points, an increase of 0.82 percent.
The "Standard & Poor's" (S&P 500) index also rose by about 53 points to reach 7,676 points, an increase of 0.70 percent.
