"Digital Economy" organizes a solidarity stand condemning the terrorist attack in Karak

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship organized a solidarity stand to condemn the sinful terrorist attack that targeted a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate, to express solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the injured, and to reject all forms of terrorism and extremism that target the nation's security, stability, and social fabric.

According to a statement by the ministry today, Monday, the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Engineer Sami Smeirat, in the presence of the Ministry's Secretary-General Samira Al-Zoubi, affirmed during the stand that this cowardly terrorist assault represents an attack on all of Jordan and an attempt to undermine its security, stability, and national unity.

Smeirat stressed that such criminal acts will only increase Jordanians' cohesion, solidarity, and determination to protect their homeland, and that their awareness, unity, and rallying around their Hashemite leadership will remain an impenetrable barrier against terrorism, extremism, and attempts to spread fear and strife.

He said that the Jordanian position in confronting terrorism and extremism derives its strength from the firm directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, his direct follow-up on the repercussions of the terrorist attack, and his visit to Karak Governorate to check on the injured, which embodies the Hashemite leadership's approach of standing by the nation's people and ensuring their security and safety.

He added that His Majesty's emphasis that the security and safety of Jordanians is a red line, and that the hand of justice will reach every terrorist, reflects the state's firm position in confronting anyone who attempts to tamper with Jordan's security and stability, and in upholding the rule of law and the unity of Jordanians.

Smeirat expressed his pride and honor in the heroes of the security services, who once again proved their competence, vigilance, and high readiness in protecting the homeland, praising the joint security operation that culminated in the arrest of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack after continuous efforts of search, investigation, and follow-up.

He affirmed that the professionalism, courage, and determination shown by the security services in tracking down and arresting the perpetrators embody the strength of state institutions and their ability to protect their citizens, confirming that Jordan will remain resilient against terrorism, and that anyone who dares to tamper with its security and stability will face the state's firmness and the rule of law.

Participants in the stand expressed their solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the injured, and their pride in the efforts of the security services and the sacrifices of their personnel in protecting the homeland, affirming their standing as one rank behind the Hashemite leadership in confronting terrorism and extremism, their adherence to national unity, and their rejection of all attempts to undermine Jordan's security and stability.

The stand concluded by praying for the souls of the martyrs, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, and praying for Jordan to enjoy lasting security and stability under the wise Hashemite leadership.
