The staff of Ghor Al-Mazraa Municipality continues their field work in preparation for the rainy season, within an integrated plan aimed at raising the level of readiness and early dealing with weather conditions, and reducing the accumulation of rainwater and flash flood risks in the areas under the municipality's jurisdiction.
The field work includes cleaning and opening bridges and drainage channels, removing dirt, debris, and obstacles that may affect the smooth flow of rainwater, in addition to inspecting a number of sites and points that may witness water accumulation, and working to address them according to available capabilities.
The municipal staff also continues to clean the median islands and remove debris from them, contributing to improving the general cleanliness level and maintaining the civilized appearance of the roads and areas within the municipality's boundaries.
These works come within the framework of the preventive measures implemented by the municipality before and during the rainy season, aiming to enhance field readiness and improve the efficiency of response to any observations or emergency cases that may result from rainfall, especially in sites that require continuous monitoring.
The municipality confirmed that its field staff continues inspection, cleaning, and treatment work according to a work program targeting various areas under its jurisdiction, with a focus on drainage channels, bridges, and sites that may be affected by rainwater flow.
The municipality calls on citizens to cooperate with its staff, and not to throw waste and debris into drainage channels, bridges, or roadsides, due to its impact on obstructing water drainage and increasing the likelihood of its accumulation, emphasizing the importance of community partnership in maintaining the cleanliness of areas and enhancing public safety during the rainy season.
