He emphasized that separating the funds and granting them financial and administrative independence is the primary gateway to enhancing their financial sustainability, noting that each fund should ideally be managed independently. Regarding decentralization, he stated that "it is impossible to continue managing every detail from the center and in the same way from Amman," confirming that enhancing decentralization and organizational flexibility requires granting governorate branches broader powers that enable them to handle issues and make decisions with greater flexibility.
He added that the vote to approve the law will take place in various governorates on the sixth of next November.
For his part, the head of the Irbid branch council, Engineer Mahmoud Rababa, emphasized that the most prominent current challenges lie in the status of the funds, and it is important to separate them and create conditions for their sustainability, appealing to engineers to pay their subscriptions so they can participate in the voting.
As for the head of the Syndicate's Young Engineers Committee, Engineer Ahmed Al-Toura, he explained that the meeting was preceded by three others during which the committee was keen to address the issues that concern young engineers, primarily employment, projects, engineering contracts, and quality.
He indicated that youth committees are currently focusing on the details of engineering contracts, project management, and quality, as they are the three most important topics needed by young engineers, and that specialized courses in these areas meet an actual need for them at the beginning of their professional careers.
He stressed that youth have a pivotal role in the long-awaited amendments, as the law has not been amended for decades, and that the services the Syndicate provides to them remain at the core of its interests.
He added that there is an urgent need to address the independence of the branches, or what is known as decentralization, due to the greater organizational flexibility it provides in making decisions without referring back to the center.
The forum's activities continued with an open dialogue and an extensive discussion during which attendees raised their questions and inquiries about the proposed amendments and their themes, and the implications they hold for the reality of young engineers and their professional future.
