Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Emad Hijazine met with a high-level French ecclesiastical delegation, headed by Archbishop Thibault Verny, Archbishop of Chambéry and President of the Vatican's Pontifical Committee, with the participation of Laurent Quairel, Secretary-General of the Regional Council for Catholic Education in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and Cédric Bloquet, General Manager of the company (Pèlerin), which specializes in organizing pilgrimages and religious visits.
The meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters, addressed prospects for building strategic partnerships with ecclesiastical institutions and pilgrimage organizers to strengthen Jordan's presence in the French market, consolidate its position on the global religious tourism map, and attract more pilgrims as part of the celebrations for the second millennium of the baptism of Jesus Christ in 2030.
