The Irbid branch of the Jordan Engineers Association, in cooperation with the Young Engineers Committee, organized an exploratory field tour for participants of the Fourth Youth Engineering Forum within the alleys and landmarks of the ancient city of Umm Qais, under the patronage of the Association President, Engineer Abdullah Assem Ghosheh, and with broad participation that included members of the Association Council, branch heads, and crowds of young engineers representing all the Association's branches across all governorates of the Kingdom.
The tour included visits to historical paths and architectural and archaeological sites in the city of Umm Qais, where participants arriving from various parts of the Kingdom learned about the unique urban and engineering history of the site, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen communication ties between young engineers from different governorates.
Member of the Jordan Engineers Association Council/Irbid Branch, Engineer Dina Shahror, affirmed that the presence of engineers from all branches of the Kingdom in the heart of the ancient city of Umm Qais embodies the spirit of solidarity and union unity, noting that the choice of this historic site reflects the Association's keenness to highlight major national landmarks and link cultural heritage with youth union work.
Shahror emphasized that the Association is following in the footsteps of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in giving the youth category all attention and support, and in the absolute belief in the ability of youth to bring about positive change and lead the future.
Engineer Dina Shahror added that the tour and the forum served as a unifying platform to discuss the proposed amendments to the Association's law for the year 2026 with all branch representatives, explaining that these amendments — primarily granting branches in the governorates broader powers and enhancing decentralization — will enable the branches to organize more training and operational field programs and initiatives more quickly and in a manner more suitable to the needs of each governorate.
Shahror concluded by inviting all young male and female engineers in various governorates of the Kingdom to ensure active participation and voting on the legal amendments scheduled for the sixth of next November, stressing that the voice of youth across all branches is the foundation for shaping the future of the Association and protecting the gains of its members.
