Jordanian communities in Germany, Australia, and America condemn the attack on Hamoud Church

The Jordanian communities in Germany, Australia, and the American state of Ohio, as well as the Jordanian-American Diwan in the state of California, condemned today, Saturday, in the strongest terms, the attack that targeted Saint George's Church in the Hamoud area of Karak Governorate, which led to the martyrdom of innocent people and the injury of others.

The community in Germany affirmed, in a statement received by (Petra), that this act has no connection to religion, humanity, or morality, and constitutes an assault on the sanctity of places of worship and on the values of love, tolerance, and brotherhood upon which Jordanians were raised in their homeland.

It stressed that the affliction is one, and the pain affects every Jordanian, whether Muslim or Christian, noting that Jordanians were and will remain children of one homeland, united by history and destiny.

The community extended its deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, the people of Karak Governorate, and Christians in Jordan, asking God to cover the victims with His vast mercy, grant the injured a speedy recovery, and inspire their families with patience and solace.

The Jordanian community in Australia affirmed its solidarity with Jordanians in these circumstances, noting that targeting places of worship constitutes an assault on the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and coexistence, and that Jordanians, Muslims and Christians, form a single national fabric, united by a common destiny and belonging to their homeland.

In a statement received by (Petra), it stressed the importance of upholding national unity, rejecting all attempts to incite strife or sow discord among the Jordanian people, and resorting to the law and the competent authorities.

It prayed to God to protect Jordan and its people, to cover the victims with His vast mercy, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability in the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the community in Ohio, USA, expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, the people of Karak, and Jordanians in general, asking God for mercy for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured, and to protect Jordan and its people from all harm.

It affirmed, in a statement received by (Petra), that the attack on places of worship and the terrorizing of worshipers and safe individuals is an act rejected and condemned by all human and moral standards, whatever its motives and circumstances, and cannot be justified or tolerated, stressing the need to uncover the full truth through official investigations and to hold everyone proven to be involved accountable according to the provisions of the law.

It pointed out that Jordan has never been anything but a homeland that brings its children, Muslims and Christians, together within a framework of brotherhood, citizenship, and equal rights, and that what unites Jordanians is too deep to be affected by a crime or shaken by attempts to sow discord and hatred.

It stressed that the security, stability, and national unity of Jordan are constants that are not subject to compromise, and that Jordanians, of all religions and origins, will remain one family united by the homeland and preserved by love, dignity, and the rule of law.

The Jordanian-American Diwan in Southern California affirmed its categorical rejection of such cowardly acts that contradict religious, human, and national values, and that there is no justification under any circumstances for such attacks, expressing its absolute confidence in the security services that watch over the security of the homeland and the safety of its people.

The Diwan stressed, in a statement received by (Petra), that Jordan will remain an oasis of security, safety, tolerance, and brotherhood, and its children will rally under the banner of one homeland, united by belonging and brought together by love.
