Cooperation Agreement between 'Aqaba Development' and the Safety Fund for the Future of Orphans

Aqaba Development Company and the Safety Fund for the Future of Orphans signed a strategic cooperation agreement to support the educational journey of young orphans from Aqaba Governorate. Under this agreement, the company will cover the educational costs of 15 young men and women for four years as part of joint efforts aimed at empowering youth, expanding their access to education, and building a more stable and sustainable professional future.

The agreement was signed in the presence of the Executive Director of Institutional Affairs at Aqaba Development Company, Khalid Allawi, and the Director General of the Safety Fund for the Future of Orphans, Engineer Noor Al-Hamoud, in a move that reflects the commitment of both parties to investing in human capital and opening educational and professional pathways for young orphans, thereby enhancing their ability to become independent and self-reliant.

Allawi said that the cooperation stems from the company's responsibility towards the local community in the governorate and its belief that true development is not complete without investing in people and enabling youth to access opportunities that help them build their future.

He emphasized that education is one of the most important empowerment axes as it plays a fundamental role in developing human capital and enhancing the youth's ability to actively participate in economic and social development, noting that this agreement is part of the company's approach towards initiatives with sustainable impact that go beyond immediate support to building real opportunities for the future.

He added that the company is proud of its partnership with the Safety Fund, affirming its commitment to directing its initiatives and corporate social responsibility programs towards creating a tangible and sustainable impact in the lives of Aqaba's children by building effective partnerships that respond to the real priorities and needs of the local community.

For her part, Al-Hamoud emphasized the importance of the partnership with Aqaba Development Company, noting that it places the education of young orphans and investment in their future at the core of its objectives, providing them with real and sustainable opportunities that help them continue learning, growing, and actively participating in their communities, and its impact is measured by the broader horizons of education and building a more independent future that it opens for each young man and woman.

She appreciated the company's eagerness to ensure that the governorate's children have a direct share of these initiatives, thereby enhancing the impact of sustainable development and extending its results to the community and the Kingdom.

This agreement comes within the framework of the company's commitment to its social responsibility and support for education and youth empowerment programs, in line with the Fund's efforts over the past 20 years to provide education and training opportunities for young orphans after the age of eighteen, thereby enhancing their ability to become independent and self-reliant.

The agreement also represents an extension of the cooperation between the two parties by providing grants for vocational training and rehabilitation in specialties linked to labor market needs during the years 2025 and 2026.
