470 young men and women from Aqaba sign employment contracts with 23 companies

After three months of training and coordination with the private sector, 470 young men and women from Aqaba signed employment contracts with 23 companies and institutions from the private sector in the city, at the conclusion of the 'From Opportunity to Employment' initiative organized by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, which lasted about three months and included training and qualifying job seekers and aligning their skills with labor market needs.

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Shadi Ramzi Al-Majali, said during the contract signing ceremony attended by the Governor of Aqaba, Ayman Al-Awaisheh, members of the Board of Commissioners, and representatives of the public and private sectors, that signing 470 employment contracts represents a tangible result of an active partnership with 23 private sector companies.

He added that the initiative was based on building employment paths based on actual labor market needs, turning job opportunities from promises into direct and measurable results, stressing that when we start from the market's need, the job becomes a result, not a promise.

Al-Majali explained that the initiative began by identifying the needs of companies and the required jobs, then aligning the skills of job seekers with those needs, implementing training and qualification programs, and reaching direct contracting with beneficiaries, stressing that this model can be built upon, developed, and expanded in the future.

Al-Majali appreciated the participation of the 23 companies and institutions and their readiness to welcome national talents, stressing that investing in human beings represents a direct investment in the future of Aqaba, and that the authority will continue to strengthen the partnership with the private sector and expand employment paths for the local community in Aqaba.

He called on young people to continue developing their skills and abilities in line with labor market requirements, stressing that the opportunity becomes more valuable when it is associated with skill, will, and work.

The ceremony witnessed the signing of employment contracts between the benefiting youth and the participating companies and institutions, in addition to honoring the participating parties and beneficiaries from the local community in Aqaba.
